So, fortified by a bacon sarnie and cup of tea and enjoying how great it is to drive to Ely in daylight, soon I am on the train heading to London. I use the journey by catching up on some reading via the “Kindle App” I am reading a “Murder Mystery” good topic for a peace-loving Minister!
I am glad my faith propels me forward with confidence to help a society that is so short on real HEART PEACE.
Speaking of Peace, in the lunch hour I took another quick stroll round “Tavistock Square” taking a few more images, the square is full of memorials to peace. Gandhi who urged peaceful rebellion yet his own life was taken in violence. Hiroshima an extreme act of violence and destruction but it did usher in peace. At Euston Station the memorial to those railway employees who gave their lives in the first world war in an effort to bring peace.
Peace and violence – two opposites. I go back inside “Churches House” where again as we study the incredible all-encompassing master plan of God for the whole human race we remember again the one who is titled “Prince of Peace”, he’s the same one who promises to give to the trusting heart in the middle of violence and instability HIS peace that nothing can take away.
I put the thoughts of conflict aside for a lighter moment, consumption of a large cookie before the train journey home and reading some more of the “who dunit”. I justify my comfort food by saying I have studied hard, a tired body and brain full of thoughts, I am intellectually and spiritually refreshed and confident more than ever that the Christian Faith stands head and shoulders above all things. If some like to believe I have an imaginary God that is their prerogative, but I am glad my faith propels me forward with confidence to help a society that is so short on real HEART PEACE.
As always enjoy the images and look forward to episode 6 coming to a web page near you.
